Job Title: Repair Station SupervisorJob Description
The Repair Station Supervisor is responsible for managing the repair station, fostering team spirit, and ensuring harmony among employee groups to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and the implementation of Lean manufacturing concepts. This role requires coordination and collaboration with internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, and the current labor agreement.
Location: Burbank, CA
Pay: 75,000 - 100,000 pending experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Develop an environment of open and honest communication to instill confidence and credibility within the workforce.
- Lead by example, demonstrating enthusiasm and encouraging a sense of urgency.
- Provide leadership, management, and organization to the repair station team, including technicians, inspectors, warehouse, and support staff.
- Manage material planning and inventory control processes to meet delivery and financial goals.
- Establish and monitor key business metrics.
- Support the development and monitoring of pricing and warranty strategies.
- Develop and implement work processes, standards, and policies for technicians to ensure high levels of production and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance regarding product processes and issues, ensuring resolutions are received and tested.
- Advise upper management on product development issues identified through bench tests and service repairs.
- Ensure the quality and timely repair and testing of all articles and components.
- Ensure the repair station has access to current approved technical data on all articles tested or repaired.
- Ensure repair technicians and staff receive appropriate training.
- Maintain the repair stations equipment and tools in serviceable condition, including checks and calibrations, and ensure areas are kept clean and orderly.
- Ensure the proper handling and monitoring of parts during and after the repair process.
- Work closely with Customer Sales & Service to increase customer satisfaction and ensure orders and repairs are processed efficiently.
- Initiate purchase requisitions as required to support repair station operations.
- Complete, maintain, and process pertinent paperwork and records.
- Plan and schedule support according to product release schedules and assist in final testing of new products.
- Promote the 6-S program and Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Provide training and development opportunities for personnel and oversee quality of workmanship, production cost, morale, and attitudes of workers.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Essential Skills- Experience in creating work orders from drawings.
- Familiarity with manufacturers drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable FAA FARS.
- MRP/ERP experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 5 years of supervisory experience in a Component Part 145 repair station.
- Ability to create work orders from drawings.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in the Repair Station located in SFV, providing a structured and collaborative environment for repair operations. The work environment emphasizes adherence to safety standards and good housekeeping practices, ensuring a clean and organized facility.
