Manager, Cabin Environment Quality

Reporting to the Manager, Cabins Services Operations, this position is accountable for managing the Cabin Environment Quality (CEQ) operation and application of Services standards for the Vancouver station. 

Responsibilities:

Cabin Environment Management & Standards

    Manage daily Cabin Environment operation; ensuring operation meets contract SLA specifications as well as financial integrity and cost control.Manage departmental budget, with a revenue development and cost containment focus.Accountable for achieving/improving targets: DIs, Misuse and abuse, absenteeism, grooming audits, training, briefings etc…Develop and implement new processes to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency, with a focus on the customer’s experience.Conduct random quality audits of all CEQ work performed, monitoring and tracking daily performance measures.Manage CEQ station supplies as well as recycling processes. Liaise with key 3rd party contacts to ensure operational efficiency: launderers, CARA Commissary Stores etc...
Health & Safety and Security

    Manage Cabin Environment station Health & Safety SOPs, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.Sign-off on accident/injury reports, review statistics and address issues accordingly.Accountable for cabin security searches performed by staff.
People

    Provide departmental leadership through integrity, openness and enthusiasm.Responsible for employee engagement, communication and recognition initiatives.Establish and maintain a strong and constructive working relationship with Union Representatives.Develop and manage yearly staffing plans and daily processes.Execute disciplinary follow up and action as required (grievances, second level hearing etc.).Follow-up with applicable cabin crews when audits are failed.Ensure employee training qualifications are maintained (new hire, regulatory and recurrent).
Qualifications

    Possess at least a high school diploma3-5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized environmentExperience and track record motivating, coaching and training staffStrong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to problem solveStrong organizational skillsSix Sigma GB training and project management experience an assetValid ramp driver’s license, D-ADemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
