Job Description:

Global MX (GMX) is a Part 145 facility focused on providing a one-stop destination for aircraft maintenance, repairs, structures, and upgrade needs. Our staff of aviation professionals strive to exceed the needs of every customer for the maintenance and care of their aircraft.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • To assist, supervise, and direct all personnel assigned to the inspection department.
  • Directing, planning, and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable federal aviation regulations, manufacturers' specifications and recommendations.
  • Work with production personnel, Team Leaders, Lead Technicians and Technicians to ensure accurate and complete documentation of work performed in company work order packages.
  • Ensure that determinations concerning major alterations/repairs are accomplished in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process, and final inspections are performed in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that inspectors performing RII inspections are qualified and trained in accordance with the operator's program prior to performing work.
  • Ensure that work accomplished outside the repair station's fixed location is performed in accordance with Repair Station Manual.
  • Determine that all manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness (e.g., maintenance, overhaul and repair manuals), service bulletins, service letters, government and industry standards, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA relative to the civil aviation articles maintained or altered by the repair station are in current status and available to maintenance and inspection personnel.
  • Review all aircraft logbooks, records, AD, and SB research for all necessary incoming inspections for all aircraft.
  • Audit of inspection and maintenance work packages generated by the repair station during the performance of maintenance and repair.
  • Generation of maintenance record entries for aircraft, engines, propellers, and accessories maintained by the repair station in accordance with 14 CFR Part 43 and the requirements of this repair station manual, and Operator/Air Carrier manuals.
  • Determine equivalency of tools and equipment used by the repair station (other than that recommended by manufacturers) and document that determination.
  • Audit all maintenance function contractors before use and maintain the results of those audits.
  • Track and maintain the repair station training records.
  • Train, direct, supervise, and assist all personnel performing work under the repair station certificate.
  • Review the repair station's training program to ensure all the repair station’s training needs are met.
  • To assure the proper execution of FAA Form 337 when required, and/or a maintenance release.
  • To perform final review of each work order and files of maintenance work records, inspection forms, and log entries prior to work order close.
  • Submit reports of serious failures, malfunctions or defects.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Accountable Manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Experience Gulfstream GIV-G700, Bombardier Challengers, Globals, or Dassault Falcons preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Inspection Authorization is required.
  • Able to pass background check/drug & alcohol test.
