Parker is currently seeking the services of an Assembly Fitter to work within our Castle Hill facility.
About the role:
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the dis-assembly / rework, assembly and testing of hydraulic components to the required standard which includes conducting the relevant quality procedures.
Responsibilities:
Support production, repair, and conversion processes.
Ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and EH&S standards.
Perform machinery maintenance and quality checks.
Manage documentation and comply with legal and ethical standards.
Liaise with engineering, technical support, and handle inventory issues.
Communicate effectively and support customer/supplier relations.
Participate in continuous improvement and company strategy initiatives.
Assess external supplier needs.
Perform safety inspections and maintenance.
Engage in personal development and training.
Experience:
Preferred - knowledge of hydraulic components with basic understanding of how to disassemble, assemble and test.
Application of Hydraulic fittings, hose and tube work.
Knowledge of component application, operation and function is preferred.
Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering / Fitting principles
Previous Mechanical fitting / machining experience.
Skills required:
Medium-level communication skills, written & verbal.
Ability to work unsupervised and learn new products and processes.
Ability to liaise with other departmental colleagues involved with Repairs and Remanufacture
Ability to gain understanding of component application, hydraulic circuitry, operation, and function.
Time management skills
Ability to develop detailed knowledge of product range
Product and technical knowledge
