Job Title: Aircraft TechnicianJob Description
Aircraft Technicians will be responsible for performing heavy maintenance, including C & D checks and calendar checks, on ATR-72, ATR-42, and Cessna Caravan aircraft. Typical duties involve working on flight controls, tearing out and reinstalling interior components, performing corrosion control, removing and replacing landing gear, conducting minor electrical work, removing and replacing engines, and executing minor structural repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance checks on ATR-72, ATR-42, and Cessna Caravan aircraft.
- Work on flight controls and reinstall interior components.
- Conduct corrosion control and replace landing gear.
- Perform minor electrical work and engine replacements.
- Execute minor structural repairs.
Essential Skills- Possess A&P License, FAA Airframe License is highly preferred.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance, especially ATR-72 and ATR-42.
- Ability to perform line and heavy maintenance tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Entry Level A&P Mechanics are suitable if they have the required license.
- Military Aviation experience is valuable, especially from Navy, Army, Marines, or Airforce with Airframe and/or full A&P License.
- Any aviation maintenance experience is applicable with an A&P License.
- Candidates must have their own tools.

Work Environment
The work is conducted in a large hangar at the Kinston Regional Jetport capable of holding up to four ATR aircraft, although the team of 33 mechanics typically works on two to three aircraft at a time. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
