Hiring Inventory Coordinator in Layton, Utah- 1st shift Job Description
As a Production/Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of production by processing and moving materials into and out of storage and production areas. Your role involves monitoring work in progress and using both automated and manual reporting methods to communicate the status of parts and materials, ensuring their availability. You will identify and resolve discrepancies of limited scope and coordinate with various functions to prioritize, expedite, and complete production activities to prevent schedule delays. This position operates under general supervision and is based 100 onsite.
Responsibilities
- Process and move production and other materials into and out of storage, production, and other locations following standard work instructions.
- Monitor work in process to ensure efficient workflow.
- Communicate the status of parts and materials using automated systems and manual reporting methods to ensure parts availability.
- Identify and solve problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures.
- Coordinate with various functions to set priorities, expedite, and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays.
Essential Skills- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or customer service environment.
- Experience in Materials Management.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift.
- Experience with warehouse inventory management, including parts accuracy and accountability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience working with inventory control software.
- Experience in kitting and cycle-counting.

Work Environment
This role is based 100 onsite, spread across three buildings: Airport Building, Northport Building, and West Jordan Building. The position is for the 1st shift, and there are possible opportunities for overtime. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. The manufacturing environment can be loud at times, requiring effective teamwork and maintaining a clean workstation. As a Drug Free Workplace, pre-employment testing is required. The position may require travel up to 10 of the time.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
