What You Will Do:- Responsible for leading all financial activities of the site, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and Mexican Tax IMMEX regulations.
- The role partners with operations to drive cost efficiency, support decision-making, and ensure financial discipline and compliance of the manufacturing (maquiladora) environment.
- Oversee accounting records, monthly close, statutory reporting, and financial reporting accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, Mexican tax regulations, IMMEX, ISR, VAT, transfer pricing, IMSS, and local statutory requirements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
- Manage cost accounting, inventory controls, fixed assets, and standard costing processes, payroll, cost .
- Supervise treasury, accounts payable, payroll, tax, and internal controls.
- Lead internal, external, statutory, and tax audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
- Develop, implement, and communicate accounting policies, procedures, systems, and controls.
- Partner with operations to identify cost savings, productivity improvements, and profitability opportunities.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to the finance team.
- Analyze complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to leadership
Qualifications You Must Have
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 7–10+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in finance and accounting roles
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in maquiladora and/or manufacturing environments, with strong cost accounting responsibilities
- Proven experience managing SOX compliance and internal control processes
- Strong knowledge and practical application of US GAAP and IFRS standards
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Innova, TRESS, as well as advanced Excel skills
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Strong experience in manufacturing environments; aerospace industry experience is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Availability to travel, with a valid visa and passport
