Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Associate and Experienced-Level Manufacturing Engineer to become part of the C-17 Planning team in San Antonio, TX.
The selected candidate will develop, support and assist in implementing manufacturing plans. The candidate will also develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
The team member will resolve sophisticated technical problems and assist in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. A successful member will assist in implementing Lean Principles and technologies.
This position will also support the C-17 UDLM Center of Excellence as this group works to develop new teams and processes. The Team Member will interact with many outstanding groups ranging from professional associations, internal customers and external suppliers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops manufacturing plans and optimizes plans.
- Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
- Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
- Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.
- Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
- Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
- Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
- Resolves complex technical problems.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, if required.
- Ability to work 2nd shift.
- Required to be on site 5 days per week.
- May be requested to support additional programs as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- 1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- 1+ years’ experience aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education.
- 3+ years of experience in working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role.
- 3+ years of experience in developing conceptual designs for tooling fixtures.
- 3+ years of experience with CATIA and/or SolidWorks CAD/CAM software.

Associate-Level Summary Pay Range: $75,650- 102,350
Experienced-Level Summary Pay Range: $90,100 - $121,900
